About the Project
This project was designed as the ultimate getaway retreat, responding to the challenges of complex terrain and the tropical climate of Panama. Situated on a steep slope, the house offers panoramic views of the surrounding greenery. The main goal was to create a cozy space for relaxation that harmoniously blends into the landscape while remaining functional in any weather.

Design Solution
The architectural concept combines structural reliability, aesthetics, and economic efficiency. The building rests on a massive concrete base that levels out the elevation difference. Local materials, specifically regional wood and brick, were prioritized for construction. This approach emphasized the project’s authenticity while significantly optimizing the budget and simplifying logistics.
Special attention was paid to the roof design. Considering the rainy season, the Holiday Home features accentuated wide roof overhangs. This solution created large covered areas, transforming terraces into all-season outdoor living rooms that remain comfortable even during tropical downpours.

Panoramic glazing and natural textures (wood, concrete, metal) blur the line between the interior and the wild nature outside.
Result
