Residential House in Ireland

Location

Ireland

About the Project

The task of this project was to create a modern family house in rural Ireland for a large family. Our challenge was to create a spacious multifunctional dwelling with clear organization of private and public zones that harmoniously combines traditional Irish farm architecture with modern comfortable living needs.

Solution

We developed an H-shaped house composition with 2 interconnected blocks of different heights that create a protected inner courtyard and provide natural functional zoning. The central idea — “cluster development” as a modern interpretation of traditional Irish farm complexes, where each volume has its own purpose, but all are organically united into a single architectural composition.

Key Features

Multi-block Composition

Two blocks executed in minimalist style with traditional gabled roofs create a dynamic silhouette and provide functional zoning: the main residential block with public areas and the private block with bedrooms.

Mixed Facade Materials

Masterful combination of local natural stone and white stucco creates a modern interpretation of traditional Irish building materials. Stone wall elements stand out as bright accents, while white surfaces add modernity.

Functional Planning

Spacious open-plan public area unites kitchen, dining room, and two living rooms, creating an ideal space for a large family. The private zone includes master bedroom with dressing room and bathroom, four additional bedrooms, office, and all necessary technical rooms.

Landscape Integration

The house organically fits into the natural terrain of Irish countryside. Large windows in public areas maximize natural lighting and create visual connection with green meadows and trees around.

Result

A modern family complex that skillfully interprets classic Irish farmhouses through the lens of modern large family needs. The house provides high levels of comfort, functionality, and energy efficiency while remaining organically rooted in the local architectural context and natural environment.
